This month the Rumi Center for Spirituality and The Arts and I will be caravanning through Turkey to Konya, the blessed city of Rumi. In celebration of the sacred month about which he wrote,

“Fasting is the greatest medicine; fast and see the strength of the spirit reveal itself!”

we are calling for your daily reflections and poems on wisdom, love and the spiritual path. Our intention is that writing and sharing these reflections will open the heart to the richness of the blessed month and deepen the bonds of sacred community. All are invited to participate.

These reflections can be in the form of poetry or prose and can be your own writings or from any other individual who inspires you. I will be writing a poem daily for the month of Ramadan and everyone is invited to join by sharing their ‪#‎RamadanReflections‬. Each day we will select submissions to post on the Rumi Center page, and I will post a video on the RC page reading selected submissions in the blessed places of Konya and other cities I visit this month.

If you would like to join us for our #RamadanReflections all you have to do is

  1. “Like” the Rumi Center for Spirituality and The Arts page. And stayed tuned there for reflection themes as we pass through the three phases of Ramadan.
  2. Post your daily #RamadanReflections to the Rumi Center page (in Visitor Posts). Each day we will select submissions to highlight on the main wall of the page.
  3. Lastly, we invite you to also post your poems/reflections on your own Facebook page plus Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #RamadanReflections.

One Love & Merry Ramadan!
