The most amazing thing about SnapChat is that everyday we can experience life on the ground during their daily city and event stories. For the 27th night of Ramadan, considered to be the holiest night of the year by the worlds 1.8 billion Muslims, SnapChat rightfully decided to feature Mecca. The hashtag #Mecca_Live is also trending on twitter.
Mecca is filled with more than 2 million people throughout Ramadan, some saying it is even more crowded during Ramadan than during Hajj. This story is a day in the life of the majority of people in Mecca who for this 24 hour period, who will start with Umrah (the lesser pilgrimage), then they will pray until it’s time to break their fast, and then they will pray the entire night in the mosque until the dawn prayer.

Walking into the Holy Mosque in Mecca
