Zaha Hadid was one of the most important architects of the 20th and 21st centuries. She shattered the glass ceiling in the architecture world's boys club. Born in Baghdad and raised in London, Hadid was the first woman to win architecture's highest prizes, the Pritzker as well as winning the Royal Institute of British Architects Royal Gold Medal. Sadly Hadid died today after having a heart attack in Miami. We remember her here through her life’s work which will live on in cities around the world for generations to come as.
