Today is a big day for us at Umuse. We’re excited to announce that we’re entering into our next phase as a company — Early Beta.

When we first set out on our mission to tame the communication chaos in the workplace, we weren’t quite sure what we were getting into. After all, many a company have tried to “fix email” and failed, and frankly — we weren’t sure we’d be any different :-). But we knew there had to be a better way to manage communication at work. So we’ve spent the last 18 months figuring it all out, experimenting with different features and capabilities, and learning a ton along the way. It has been nothing if not a fascinating experience and you can read more about our company journey in our latest blog post.

So why the Early Beta label? Well, as much progress as we’ve made in our alpha stage, we know we’ve still some got rough edges to polish and a few key features you need before we’re ready for primetime. But thanks to you and the 5,000+ alpha users who have downloaded Umuse and shared their feedback with us, we think we’re ready to take Umuse to the next level.

What will this next chapter bring? You can expect to see better performance, more channels (txt anyone?), more intelligence (topic following) more feed-level integration (cross channel save & share), plus a plethora of convenience features. Our goal? To make communication simple again. To let you focus on what you want to say, not how you have to say it. To be the one place where workplace communication comes together. Read more about the product here.

To all of our users, let me say thank you. Thank you for your feedback. Thank you for your patience. We know there have been many bugs, challenges and hiccups along the way and we couldn’t have gotten to this point without your help. A large part the product we have today is of your making and or that, and for so much more, we are grateful.

Thank you for being such an integral part of our journey and we can’t wait to share the next chapter of our adventure with you…
