Our Joy

Friendship is when rivers join, and the rocks between us diminish. Sharing this presence, free of thought is our joy.

Walking down the street, I am already familiar with life. With trust, the rocks move away as I let go. Suddenly, there are no strangers, as I let thoughts go at all times. Not just one time. Love blossoms all around me. Intimacy has no meaning. It is not heavy, or distinct, yet light and abundant.

King nor servant, could convince me to add a rock to my river. I hold no notion about anyone, I just let my existence live. I resist judgement. All I share in common with you is love.

We enjoy each other, but even our similarity obscures the river, so I let it go. We defer each other, but even our dissimilarity obscures our river, so I let it go. The river flows free. I meet another walking free of thought, now our rivers flow free.

In joy and misery, discomfort, and exaltation. In pain and action, in terror and rejuvenation, the river flows free.
