The connotative meaning of the word woman had to mean being confident, working hard, wearing the heart on sleeve, and being the bigger person. Despite the fact that women are holding themselves up, all the way to live 200 days in space, women today hold a piddling 4.2 percent of Fortune 500 CEO positions.

Being successful with women isn’t about the inborn quality: Rather, it is about cultivating confident practices that attract the opportunities around.

Read on to uncover the pillars that play an exalted role in contributing to women’s success; success with women you’ve always coveted, but didn’t know was attainable!

1. Strike The Right Chord

Ditch the guilt and chin up, ladies!

Women are undoubtedly the largest untapped reservoir of talent in the world.

Multiple studies and research around the world have concluded of women being more productive, better managers, more reliable, efficient at managing funds and all. Unfortunately, these facts and figures have failed to guarantee talented, deserving women a seat in the boardroom.

It has never been easy for women to juggle a thriving career and a happy personal life. It should never be about a working woman with bouts of stress and guilt for not being able to give equal time to work and family. Rather, a woman who knows she can do it all, just not at the same time.

The first pillar to the house of women’s success: Negotiating for flexibility with self.

Suss out what really matters in terms of the day-to-day.

Women are born leaders. Quitting should never be an option. Strike the right chords, tap the right opportunities at the right time and just be out there in the thistle woods.

2. Own Up Your Achievements

Although time and over women have credited luck for their success, it is principally hard-work and tenacity that bring women to the top of their game. These are the women who never settle for the mediocre, are enduringly restless and striving, and who knows that real success can only be found by cruising and bruising through the stop signs.

The most successful women in the world have grabbed every opportunity afforded to them, and have created opportunities for themselves. The intermittent nature of willing to do whatever it takes needs a paradigm shift. Women need to decide, FIRM, no matter what the journey is, we will progress in the journey towards excellence through all the yellow woods.

3. Being Confident and Passionate

No matter what, I will get this through!

Keeping yourself motivated on all fronts is the key. No matter how bad the day or the project goes, pull up the socks the next morning and move on! At times of distress, trusting your gut, the intuitions, your decisions, and your team is quintessential. Failure is never a bad metaphor.

The third pillar to the house is to never settle for less.

As experience is the best tutor, the more you learn, explore, experience and share, the more your confidence boosts. The mission for women to be successful in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with passion, compassion, a tint of humor, and the grace and elegance of women, mama mia!

4. SPEAK UP

Words shape your reality; your conversations build your currency of influence.

The hallmark of a successful woman is her speech. Every successful woman at one point of time in her career faces the sheer urge to speak up amongst the ambiguity of vulnerability and shrewdness. A woman with passion and ambition, who happens to be a good speaker enhances her social life and the ability to negotiate with other people multi-fold. Women are inherently extemporaneous and what better to inculcate that quality in her career.

It’s time women not just keep speaking on the inequalities faced. Rather, acknowledging what we as women have, can and are achieving despite the lack of opportunities.

Now is the time women reclaim their prowess. Let us complete the house by being a part of the change.

Unsure of where to start?

We already know, we need more women seated at the decision-making tables. Many more. The world over.

And…

To make that a reality, women must stop dialing themselves down to fit in or diluting our opinions to avoid disapproval.

Women need to stop talking themselves down. If you don’t talk yourself up, no one else will showcase your mettle. It is on the women to brand themselves. Women, own your value, stand tall in your worth, speak your opinion and dare to bring your full quota of brilliance to every conversation.
