Young Writers Tour Uptown Charlotte

The highlight of my week so far was being part of the middle school writing marathon.

Our adventure started on the light rail.

Then a short walk to Romare Bearden Park. Some campers were drawn to the water feature.

Others found the sound area.

Which inspired more writing.

From there we trekked to ImaginOn, where the surprise activity was revealed, Escape the Box!

Campers got right to work on the clues.

And cracked the code in under 20 minutes.

Which gave them more time to share their writing from the day.

Students spent the last hour of camp preparing for the open mic, which was only two days away. Five days no longer feels like enough time.
