Submission Guidelines

Welcome to Uncommon World! We can’t wait to see your writing and publish your weird and wonderful stories, but before we do — please follow the below guidelines to make the submission and publication process run smoothly.

Turnaround time

• We review submissions Monday — Friday with a 48-hour turnaround
• Please still submit over the weekend, we will just take a look at it on a Monday!
• If edits are required, you will then have another 48 hour turnaround time and so-on
• Where possible, we will be faster than 48 hours!

Submission quantity

• Please submit a maximum of three drafts a time, that way we can review all writers and not be completely overwhelmed

Editing notes

• Please make sure you have your private note settings on
• If there are small grammatical changes, we will make them and publish your work straight away
• If there are larger changes we will notify you, and until those changes are rectified your piece will not be published
