At the beginning of last year the World Economic Forum published an article detailing the ways the sharing economy will continue developing in the future. Their research indicates that projects centered around collaborative consumption or collective access to goods are growing at an unprecedented rate, and have become so significant that there is no longer any real reason to classify them as separate from the rest of the economy.

Typical users of sharing economy services according to a PwC study of the US market are women, ages 18–24 from medium-low income households with children.

According to WEF, women play an important role in moving the sharing economy forward. They tend to be involved in society and are more interested in collaborative consumption solutions in general.

What’s also important is that senior citizens are also beginning to contribute to this new type of economy. More of them now follow an active lifestyle, and that involves using services that have until now been used mostly by young people.

What it all means is that the sharing economy is expanding, and now captures even wider demographics than ever before. This is why we want to deploy our project on this market, solving the “fast fashion” issue and making our world better!
