Uncommonn project at the junction of finance, marketing and responsible consumption. What problems are we solving?

Do you know what “fast fashion” is and why is this phenomenon dangerous to our planet? Let’s look at the facts: it took enough water to supply one person for almost ten years just to make your jeans. 13,000 litres. That’s just the water. And what about your t-shirt? The production of fabrics puts 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere every year. The equivalent of all shipping and air transport pollution combined.

‌Typically, an item of ‘fast fashion’ is worn just seven times before it is thrown away, and most clothes end up in landfill — buried in the earth, or shipped to Asia to be burned in vast, polluting furnaces. Over 2500 Kg of clothing is disposed of in this way every single second of every day. After the Oil industry, Fashion is the second worst cause of pollution on the planet.

We want the business of fashion to be one people want to be part of. For the benefit of a healthy future. We want to motivate people to be responsible about their clothes. That’s great fashion.
