The saga of Tether continues. we wrote about the issues surrounding Tether back in December, and the situation has deteriorated since. Recently, the CEO of Tether spoke at the North American Blockchain Summit in Miami (admirable considering how many in the audience were sharpening their pitchforks), but then dashed off stage and out of the facility without answering any follow up questions to his speech.

This past weekend, it was announced by Tether that they will no longer continue working with audit firm Friedman LLP. In other words, the “audit” that Tether has long been promising is not happening after all. Not now, and no future plans announced.

At this point in time, the Tether fraud is probably the biggest threat to the crypto market in terms of the catalyst to a major cataclysmic event in the market. Please be aware of keeping crypto on the exchanges that support USDT. Or, just recap @uncryptWills write up on offline wallets.
