It never ceases to amaze me how much shit is generated with the alleged goal of helping humans become somehow better. “Self-help” they call it. As if humans can help themselves, and as if life really can somehow improve.

But, of course, the main ruse: that there’s someone out there who actually figured it out. As if in their wisdom, they can impart some special knowledge to others, some trick, or tip, or tool — to fix people. Or, rather, to enable people to fix themselves.

Bullshit.

What a lie. As if it’s not just about money — a fat paycheck, a cushy life, an attempted escape from…
