How to fix Missing files in a video game
Hello everyone, today I will explain how to fix missing files in a video game.
So to start, if you get an error that says something along the lines of “missing file users/(user)/(game)/(type of file ex: sound effects)/(file), there is an easy fix.
First, go to the file. In my case, I was missing a file from Audio/SE/abrir maçaneta velha.
As you can see, there is a missing file there. After you are in the folder that the audio file is missing in, duplicate another audio file or download one off the internet.
Once duplicated, click on the file and press enter to modify the name.
Once completed, double check the name is correct, and you should be good to go.
How it works: when a game reaches a point, it must dig through your finder to find it. In my case, it would start at Audio folder, then special/sound effects folder, then to the file itself. Once it finds the file, it will play it.
