About Maya Carter

Maya Carter is a USC junior majoring in international relations. She is the founder and president of Motivate & Empower, an organization that mentors USC peers and local high school students; and provides opportunities for students to share their thoughts and views during workshops and less formal discussions.

Carter, a Chicago native who now lives in Denver, started M&E as a freshman. There are now M&E chapter at eight other universities including: Tufts, Penn and Wake Forest.
