These new criminology and criminal justice studies were published recently by journals I monitor.

1. When Prison Becomes the Devil’s Workshop: The Association Between Idleness and Post-Release Employment, Recidivism, and Mortality, published in Crime & Delinquency.

2. Health-Related Costs of Intimate Partner Violence: Using Linked Police and Health Registers, published in Journal of Interpersonal Violence.

3. Lessons Learned From the COVID-19 Pandemic in the United States by Domestic Violence Coalition Leaders, published in Violence Against Women.

4. The quarantine pass, published in Crime, Media, Culture: An International Journal.

5. A multimodel meta-analysis assessing moderators of sexual recidivism as an indicator of treatment effectiveness in persons with sexual offense histories, published in Journal of Experimental Criminology.

I might cover some of these studies further in Understanding Crime. If one sounds interesting or important, let me know in the comments. Right now, I’m considering number 5.
