These new criminology and criminal justice studies were published recently by journals I monitor.

1. The Prison Bust: Declining carceral capacity in an era of mass incarceration, published in Punishment & Society.

2. Police station meaning, closure and (in)visibility, published in Policing and Society.

3. Security, Emotions and Radical Right Populism: Beyond a ‘Flaunting of the Low’?, published in The British Journal of Criminology.

4. The Implications of Stress Among Correctional Officers: A Summary of the Risks and Promising Intervention Strategies, published in International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology.

5. Static-99R Norms and Cross-Cultural Validity for Australian Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal Men Convicted of Sexual Offences, published in Sexual Abuse.

I might cover some of these studies further in Understanding Crime. If one sounds interesting or important, let me know in the comments. Right now, I’m considering number 2.
