Illusions of Happiness.

It Never Was

Stepping out of the illusion, fully recognizing what was,
Relationships out of obligation, trauma limited love,
The “care” displayed— a façade to gain resources to stay afloat,
You’d have drowned without playing the part..
Having lost yourself in life’s sea of possibilities,

An angel arrived to save you from the devils,
You soaked the blessings, and stabbed the angel in the back,
Denying the words spoken to uplift the spirit,
It was almost as if you were a devil yourself,

Twisted words and perspectives to take a victim role,
A damsel in distress — in need of a savior,
Life’s beauty turned ugly, corrupting the heart that was once of light,
Operating through self, for self,

What is true is never changing,
Or may have been present at some point in time,

Happiness based in Love that was never there to begin with — an illusion that many face, and never leave in the way that they came,
The Love that was present was not, as Love would have never left you hanging as you are,
An eye opener for us all,
