Become an UNGEI blogger!
The campaign for girls’ education is a global effort at every level. Your voice is important. Your voice can make a difference.
Who are we?
The United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI) is a partnership of organisations committed to gender equality in education, and the empowerment of women and girls. UNGEI works through policy advocacy and support to development actors to deliver on the gender and education-related Sustainable Development Goals. UNGEI also advances evidence building, research and the sharing of good practice in girls’ education and gender equality in order to strengthen collaboration and partnerships.
Your voice — our platform
Join our global advocacy efforts to inspire others to take action in the fight for equal rights and access to quality education for every girl. We accept applications from women and girls who want to amplify their voices — whether it be research-related, personal experience, or advocacy based — and empower others to do the same.
We’re looking for 700–900 words with a focus on a specific aspect of girls’ education/gender equality. Let your voice shine through, and feel free to use quotes, snappy statistics, and language that is accessible and easy to understand. We love photos and videos! Visuals are important, and we can use them to publicise your piece on our digital channels. Just make sure you have photo credits and a caption.
