The Innovation Services’s Diversity and Inclusion project “Reflections” advances efforts to drive cultural change within UNHCR and the wider humanitarian eco-system to increase diversity, inclusivity, and gender equity.

The project seeks to dig beneath the surface of our conversations around inclusion to understand how we innovate in the space of inclusion. We have reached out to people inside and outside of UNHCR, where vibrant discussions are ongoing, to find the stories and experiences that support the drive for structural and behavioural change.

Caroline, Senior Advisor on Diversity and Inclusion at UNHCR, talks harnessing the organization’s talent, committing to diversity and inclusion, and asks, “Is good enough what we really want to aim for?”

Depicting the organizations achievements and ambitions for inclusion in the months and years ahead, we learn what we can all do to shape an ever more inclusive UNHCR.

With practical examples of taking on inclusion challenges in your team, this interview explores how taking responsibility for racial and gender dynamics can unleash new potentials.

“Inclusion is about the structures, the policies, the systems that will support an environment where both men and women feel that they can do their best work.”
