Unibright’s CTO Stefan Schmidt was recently invited by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) to deliver a webinar on blockchain applications for supply chain management.
ISM is the largest not-for-profit professional supply management organization worldwide. Founded in 1915, it has over 50,000 members located in 100 countries. ISM’s members are increasingly examining the capabilities of blockchain technology in supply chain, what the benefits are and how to achieve them. Following a year-long project, ISM’s research arm, the Center for Advanced Procurement Strategy , underscored the vital importance for supply management executives to better understand the frameworks, tools and ongoing developments of blockchain for supply management .
Unibright’s webinar helped deliver just that.
In the words of Tom Martin, ISM’s Director of Learning Solutions and Product Development:
“This webinar removes the misconception that blockchain is only for big players and large-scale projects. Unibright has effectively highlighted a number of innovative and creative uses of blockchain technology for projects affecting organizations of various sizes.”
For us at Unibright, the webinar marks an important first step in helping educate ISM members about practical and accessible ways to implement blockchain use cases in their organizations. There is a natural overlap between supply chain’s business and technological needs and what Unibright has to offer. In line with Unibright’s Roadmap, the intention is also in helping build the ecosystem around blockchain.
An ISM member-only event, the live webinar generated a significant level of interest with a high level of attendance. On-demand access to the webinar has now been made available to a wider audience, so we are happy to share it with you: https://event.on24.com/wcc/r/1966423/0F7EE3A865575D59C4839CD95FDB29A7
Thanks to our Unibright ambassador Jan for establishing the contact and making this possible!

Unibright offers a unified framework, bringing blockchain technology and smart contracts to mainstream usage. With its “no-coding-needed” approach, smart contracts get generated, deployed and updated automatically into different blockchains. Unibright works with visual, usecase-related templates and also automatically integrates existing IT systems into the blockchain.
Unibright Solutions, a dedicated consulting branch to support blockchain use in business processes, was additionally launched in December 2018.
