Unification Summer 2023: New Staking, Deployments, and Upgrades Unleashing New Possibilities
As the Goerli testnet approaches its end of life, the Unification Foundation gears up for a series of migrations and deployments on the Sepolia testnet, marking a new chapter in EVM-based services, not only for us but also for our supported partners.
In this update, we’re glad to announce the successful migration of OoO and VOR to Sepolia, seamlessly transferring the contract and provider addresses from their Goerli counterpart, to support existing clients and future partners in development
Furthermore, the team has introduced a modification to the xFUND Tesnet Token, along with a new “mint” function, ensuring maximum compatibility with third-party applications while maintaining backward compatibility.
Cosmos SDK/IBC Upgrade
We’re still going through the upgrade code with a fine-toothed comb to ensure everything has been implemented and migrated correctly. It’s a fairly involved process, as there are quite a few significant changes from the previous Cosmos SDK version to check. So far, everything looks to be in place, and the upgrade simulations have all worked out. Once we have completed this final round of code-checking, we’ll run a few more upgrade simulations just to be sure.
We’re anticipating submitting the TestNet governance proposal by the end of June — a smidge behind schedule, but we’re close and concrete as always!
OoO Sepolia
With the Goerli testnet reaching its end of life this year, we are beginning to migrate our EVM based services using testnets over to Sepolia testnet. The first of these to be migrated is OoO, which was deployed on Sepolia on 08/06/23. Thankfully, the contract and provider addresses are identical to the previous Goerli incarnation, and everything ran smoothly. We also made one minor modification to the xFUND Tesnet Token, and added a standard “mint” function for maximum compatibility with third party applications. The old “gimme” function has been retained for backwards compatibility.

VOR Sepolia
Following directly from the OoO deployment on Sepolia, we have also deployed VOR on Sepolia. This is part of the continuing process of migrating out EVM based tools over to the latest testnets.

OoO/VOR Shibarium Beta Testnet
Still WIP — we’re aiming to have this deployed and the details published by the end of the month. Additionally, we’ll be planning for faster deployment (and bridging the new Sepolia xFUND Test token) on any future potential Shibarium public beta testnet.
All teams are internally gearing up for major updates for respective communities which we are proud and look forward to contributing a major part of in the very near future, just around the corner!
UNoDE
UNoDE, while still remaining in fully private development has ramped up quite a bit internally, with development work underway, not only for the Unification Network, but also on ethereum, as well as native support for partners at Shibarium.
Private testing of the alpha version is expected within a month with more to be shared openly with all those interested soon.
While UNoDE will most likely launch as an integrated part of our partner network, Expect to see an intake form in the next update if you are interested in utilizing the service for projects you’re involved in or for personal sovereignty/privacy of your activities.

MyCointainer and Semi-Liquid Staking
A new way to buy and stake FUND with
With community development of Liquid Staking of FUND still underway, another interesting element in the aggregate landscape of Unification tools is the launch & integration of FUND with MyContainer.
MyCointainer is a licensed multi-product platform that allows users to earn rewards from the decentralized economy through staking, trading, and delegations. They aim to create simple centralized paths from rewards that come from various earning assets and speed up the advent of crypto adoption worldwide.

Our development cycles are long and internal, but the team has continued its path for almost six years to deliver products that support and push the boundaries of defi & blockchain & will continue to do so.
