UNIFI Staking is Under Construction

Adding UNIFI stake is temporarily disabled

On September 20, 2021 UNIFI governance passed a referendum to increase the maximum capacity for UNIFI staking. This referendum received a record-breaking number of UNIFI token votes.

Such a high turnout made it clear this project is a priority to UNIFI holders. Unifi Labs has moved up its schedule to start work on this item effective immediately. UNIFI staking must be upgraded to accommodate the options that will be voted on by UNIFI governance.

To prepare for this upgrade, some changes have already taken place. Additional information on future staking changes will be provided after UNIFI governance votes on the upcoming staking options referendum.

During this construction phase:

The ability to stake additional UNIFI tokens has been temporarily disabled.

Even if the current amount staked is less than 600,000 UNIFI, adding more UNIFI stake will still not be possible during this upgrade.

If UNIFI is unstaked, it will not be able to restake, and it does not create any availability for others to stake.

These things have not changed:

Staked UNIFI can be unstaked at any time.

Staked UNIFI continues to earn staking rewards as displayed on the dashboard.

UNIFI staking rewards can be claimed at any time.

This upgrade does not impact UNIFI referendum voting. Staked UNIFI can still participate in governance.
