UNIFI Staking on Ethereum Continues

For UNIFI already staked in January — no need to restake!

At the start of 2021, UNIFI staking on Ethereum officially began. Within three weeks, over 330,000 UNIFI were staked into the Unifi Protocol staking smart contract! This is just the beginning, as UNIFI staking is here to stay. UNIFI holders benefit from this exciting utility of staking and earning rewards with their tokens.

February marks the official start of the public beta phase of UNIFI staking. For the UNIFI already staked, there is no need to do anything! New UNIFI stake and UNIFI that was staked in January will be eligible to earn staking rewards in February and the months beyond.

This beta phase will run until at least April 1, 2021. UNIFI staked in January, February, or March will not require any additional staking transactions to earn rewards through the end of this event. Depending on the outcome of this event, and feedback from the community, UNIFI staked during the beta phase may automatically transition into GGM staking.

Limited Space is available!

Unifi has some bonus incentives planned for this month, which will all lead into March’s special events. Great things often come with being first, especially in blockchain! Being among the first to be a part of UNIFI staking is no exception. But all good things also have limits, so for the month of February, only 500,000 UNIFI will be allowed to participate. Once 500,000 UNIFI are staked, no more UNIFI can stake until someone unstakes and makes room!

As the rewards increase for each UNIFI that is staked, and spots run out, you won’t want to miss out and have that “I knew I should have done it” feeling! Stake your UNIFI today!

Increasing Rewards as more UNIFI is staked

With typical staking, as more tokens are staked, the rewards for each token staked decreases. UNIFI staking in January and February is the complete opposite — as more UNIFI tokens get staked, the rewards for each UNIFI staked goes up! Each additional UNIFI staked earns higher and higher rewards for every UNIFI staked.

For example, at 330,000 total UNIFI staked, the APR per each UNIFI staked was just over 26%.

At 400,000 total UNIFI staked, the APR increases to at least 31.5%. Each participant in the event earns more UNIFI as more total UNIFI gets staked.*

At the maximum total amount staked of 500,000 UNIFI, rewards will almost 4X to nearly 40% APR.

It is in everyone’s best interest to ensure the maximum amount of UNIFI is being staked on Ethereum.

GGM launch open for community input

As described in the Global Governance Model Launch Framework, the GGM will launch in phases. The order and process of this phased launch are still open for community input and discussion in Unifi’s subreddit.
