A Fresh Look & Feel

So we have always thought of UniHack as the Ronseal of student employability. We do hackathons for students. It’s our bread and butter, it’s our focus, it’s what people like about us. It’s pretty self explanatory.

But that’s all changing.

It’s hard to build something out of nothing, and without Mark, Umesh, and Will at the helm, we would never have managed to work with so many incredible students this past year. Now, the joy of UniHack is that it’s a highly replicable methodology, it’s effective at improving student employability, but it is also a premium solution to the problem of students lacking the skills to build the lives they want. We’re never going to manage to engage more than 200 students, per university per year, so that’s not good enough for us.

If success is measured by doing what you do to a high standard, then UniHack, by that logic is a successful company. If success is measured by how effectively you solve a problem, then sadly, I would argue we are not as successful as we would like to be.

It is with this logic in mind that we have been practicing what we preach; hacking the problem. Young people are at the core of everything we do, and our business needs to reflect that. Hackathons will continue to be a huge part of what we do, but we’re currently building something far more comprehensive and scalable for the wider education market.

As we work away, we’ve decided we need a brand that reflects this new emphasis. We need something that isn’t limited to hackathons at universities. So with that, I hope you’re as excited as we are to see the new brand!

See you next week.
