Photo Essay: the Women’s March on Washington
Last Saturday, January 21st, over 3 million people across the country marched to say that women’s rights are human rights. In Washington, DC alone more than 500,000 protesters came out to make their voices heard. The DI stands with the hundreds of organizations that showed support and the millions of marchers around the country and the world. We the people showed what democracy in action looks like. We the people held the largest demonstration day in American history. We the people proved true the old protest chant: “the people united will never be defeated.”
