Further employment within the Intelligence Community

ODNI’s plan for veteran employment and more

--

The Intelligence Community is very excited that the President has taken such an interest in veterans’ employment. In order to clarify a few things regarding the plan for employing veterans in the IC, we’d like to talk about how that will take place. Veterans, or former military officers deemed veterans by the regulations of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, will have the opportunity to gain employment in one of our six intelligence agencies. While the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has in recent weeks attempted to halt mass recruitment, there are, undoubtedly, agencies within the IC that require competent, experienced staff, such as the Defense Intelligence Agency, Department of Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis and the Department of State Bureau of Intelligence and Research. We urge anyone wishing a job in the IC seeks one in those agencies. Since the beginning of the term, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has slowly downsized the IC, removing personnel who did not contribute in the way that Director largeTitanic2 saw fit for the federation. We’d like now to bring on new, experienced and competent individuals.

How can you tell if you’re fit for the Intelligence Community? Many may feel discouraged to apply to join the IC because of our rigorous background check process or the long hours of work that our agencies each demand in order to stay active, but we encourage you to apply anyway. All of us, even the DNI himself, had to start somewhere, and who knows; you may one day end up joining ODNI yourself! The IC is a big organization with a fast-paced work environment; if that interests you, keep reading.

The Intelligence Community has grown this past term into a family of individuals who are working together toward a common goal. We have endured through thick and thin. As a federation, the IC works separately and together each and every day to as previously stated, ensure the constant safety, security, and watchfulness of our great nation. Since the beginning of the term after the inauguration of President TheySinned, the IC Leadership has been focused on organizing and structuring the federation in a manner in which everyone has their respective jurisdictions and roles, have their set tasks, that transparency and work ethic is maintained, and more.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is quite pleased with the team of individuals that we have brought into our community. All of them put forth lots of effort, dedication, and hours towards defending the United States. The U.S. Intelligence Community is happy to announce that we are hiring for the following agencies:

  • Department of Defense Defense Intelligence Agency
  • Dept. of Homeland Security Office of Intelligence & Analysis
  • Dept. of State Bureau of Intelligence & Research

Further information regarding hiring for each specific agency will be posted on the Director of National Intelligence’s twitter account (@nusaDNI) and on the official IC Twitter, (@nusaIC). Follow these twitter accounts for the most up-to-date information on the business of the Intelligence Community and any and all hiring opportunities that may take place.

“Thanks so much for taking the time to read and understand this page. I hope you will consider joining us in some of the most challenging work in the United States: Intelligence work.”
