At Unity we believe students are our future! We hire students across our offices worldwide and are committed to empowering you to translate your academic knowledge into industry work. Here, you’ll gain valuable experience in working at an international, trailblazing and industry-leading company. You’ll work hard and learn how to develop, market, and sell the world’s most popular real-time 3D engine.

Students at Unity get the chance to make real and lasting impacts on their teams. One of our company values is Go Bold, and our interns and student workers live this value through the opportunity to work on real projects. At Unity you can expect to work alongside a team of full-time employees on projects that go beyond the typical “student project.” Our teams strive to create great environments for learning and growth by presenting challenging problems to solve with the support of managers and mentors.

But it isn’t all work — you’ll have fun too! During your time at Unity, you can expect to build strong and lasting relationships with other students through fun social events both on and offsite. On top of lunches with each other and happy hours, our interns this past summer worked their way through escape rooms, played mini-golf with our Global Head of Inclusion, and set up dinners and trips to the movies as a group.

Bellevue interns at mini-golf with Paul, our Global Head of Inclusion; Brighton interns on a tour of the city; Montreal interns at an escape room (they escaped)

Don’t just take it from us! Check out the video below from our Montreal office and read on to hear from some of our past interns about their experiences.

I found the culture to be welcoming and supportive. I not only learned new skills to become a better engineer but also discovered how to apply key concepts from school to real-world problems. The team provided me with the mentorship I sought; I felt comfortable sharing my ideas and ways to approach a task.

Aniqa Kamal — Backend Engineer, Monetization Intern, San Francisco

At Unity I’ve been given opportunities past what I could ever imagine, and I’ve been trusted to represent the company at large events. The office is filled with incredibly supportive people that are constantly going above and beyond.

John O’Reilly — Art Evangelist Intern — Evangelism, Brighton

An amazing experience! Working for Unity, a company that truly cares about its employees and products, was a pleasure. Great employee benefits, endless opportunities, and creative freedom made this company a catch in my books.

Barrington Campbell — Technical Artist Intern, Bellevue

Working at Unity cleared up my misconceptions about an office job; as well as doing a job I enjoy, I’m in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Cait Meredith — Developer Relations Engineer Intern — Console Support, Brighton

So, what’s next?

We’re sure you have questions about what happens after you apply. First, thanks for taking the time to drop your info! We know interviewing can be stressful, especially if you’re relatively new to the job hunt. It can even feel like a full time job itself! We want to take some of that stress away and make sure every candidate goes into our interview process feeling as comfortable and prepared as possible. Throughout this process, don’t be afraid to ask questions and follow up with your recruiter. We are here to help, and our interview teams are great sources of knowledge.

Resume Review

The University Recruiting team is currently reviewing your resume. We are a small but mighty team and appreciate your patience as we ensure to review each application that comes our way. You can expect to hear from us within 2–4 weeks of submitting your application. You will receive an email following up on your candidacy. If you are a match for the position we will reach out to set up a recruiter phone screen.

Recruiter Phone Screen

Your resume stood out, congrats! One of our University Recruiters will reach out to schedule a 20–30 minute phone call to go over the basics — your experience, skill sets, and logistics (ie, location, immigration status, etc.). We’ll also want to share a bit more about Unity as a company and answer any questions you may have. There’s no need to prepare anything technical for this first step!

Tips:

  1. When submitting your availability remember working hours are Monday — Friday, 9am-5pm. We love our jobs but also love the awesome work/life balance Unity provides!
  2. When on the call please be sure to be in a quiet space. Insider secret: the quad, on the bus, or walking to class aren’t the most ideal places to ace an interview.
  3. Be YOU! One of the amazing parts of Unity is the ability to be yourself. Try not to over think the small stuff. This first interview can be viewed as a casual conversation.
  4. Ask questions! As mentioned, the University Recruiting team is here as a resource to you. Every question is important so ask away!

We’re always working to ensure we’re being mindful of your time, so we aim to have as quick of a turnaround as possible. However, we do recruit on a rolling basis so we appreciate your patience with the process!

While you wait, be sure to head over to our website and read through our blog and recent press. Check us out on Instagram and Twitter too!
