What teams are based in Unity Helsinki?
We have over 280 based in Unity Helsinki, across a variety of teams. Many of our employees work within the Grow side of the business, with a specific focus on the Ad Network, but we also have people from other teams including Graphic Programmers, Dashboard teams, HR & Recruiting.
What activities have you been part of at Unity Helsinki?
There have been so many great activities, but some of my highlights are:
- A see you soon party for our Citycenter Offices (AKA Makkaratalo)
- A series of different sport introduction classes to inspire us to start a new hobby. Of these classes I particularly enjoyed Savate (French kickboxing) and went on to start the basic course. I also had a lot of fun trying Aerial Yoga
- We have an annual tradition of doing volunteer work at Nuuksio National Park (our nearest National Park) followed by a BBQ.
- Every Friday we all come together in our all-hands lounge for an informal start to the weekend meeting. This is where we introduce the new joiners, go through office updates and have a chance to catch up with one another
What are your favorite perks of the Unity Helsinki office?
We have a big coffee and tea selection. Finns love coffee and our coffee enthusiasts love the variety! We’re also well stocked with ice cream at all times when you’re in need of a tasty treat.
I love the number of socializing spaces dotted around the office. And when I’m not fully up for socializing, our office also has a massage chair!
Where are your favorite local points of interest?
My top 3 favorite places are:
- Sompasauna: a wood-burning self-service public sauna
- Allas Sea Pool: a sea spa and urban oasis for wellbeing nestled in the heart of Helsinki. It has a large pool area and magnificent saunas
- Central Park: this nearly ten-kilometer-long forested green space runs the length of Helsinki from south to north
What are the commuting options to Unity Helsinki?
There are lots of commuting options to get to Unity Helsinki. We’re right by Helsinki Central Station, and this great location means that we’re easily reached by train, metro, bus and tram. Whilst there isn’t parking onsite, we have lots of bike storage, so cycling in is also an option.
