Hello everyone! We have the 5th week, Malaysia and Davos, KYC, ERC20 UTN-P and a Milestone day :)

ERC20 tokens and the official smart contract UTN-P

We have finished the development and have audited the smart contract, with which the Token Distribution is going to be conducted and which will be responsible for the circulation of UTN-P. It has a Timelock function for the tokens of the team and Foundation and a Burn function, needed to burn tokens irreversibly. You can see the smart contract using this link — https://etherscan.io/address/0x9e3319636e2126e3c0bc9e3134aec5e1508a46c7

With this contract this week (till next Tuesday) we will send tokens to all those who has orderes UTN-P tokens to your Ethereum addresses. I think, after this many of you will breathe easier.

Withdrawal and KYC

What can be so complicated about choosing a number of tokens, entering the Ethereum address, set up a password for getting UTN and undergo KYC? The most original requests of this week: “I have ordered withdrawal to the wallet but my keys are lost” and “I have ordered withdrawal to my UTN wallet but I do not remember my email password”. These curious situations have demonstrated to us that our support level is not anymore appropriate for providing prompt assistance to everyone in a difficult situation. That is why we have agreed on cooperation with the UseResponse.com corporation and started transferring our support to the professional CSS (Сustomer Support System) in order to see how long it takes us to solve your problem from the moment of your appeal and to be able to transfer your requests from our support chat/email to the development team and receive an answer.

Switzerland, Moscow, Malaysia

During the meetings with a number of major banks in Switzerland (UBS(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBS) and Julius Baer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_Baer_Group)) we talked about the opportunities that a fast and cheap blockchain can provide to the banking sector. Taking into account traditional conservatism typical for banking industry, tangible results are expected in March 😃

We held a thinktank in the Universa Moscow office and started preparations for an extremely large-scale hackathon UniversaHack2018 scheduled for March, 12–18 in 11 cities (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ufa, Ulyanovsk, Krasnodar, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Vladivostok, Minsk). Apart from the hackathon and interviews with developers, we also arranged that together with the Minister of Communication of the Russian Federation and Sasha Ivanov (Waves) we would participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos on January,23. I will make a speech on the prospects of blockchain technology implementation in the world.

If you happen to be in Davos on January, 23, let’s have a coffee after my speech.

Also this week in Malaysia I had a meeting with the local Universa community where we decided to offer blockchain technology to the local government and major banks.

In February we will hold a large road show and will try to launch the first Universa based pilot version in that region.

Here in Malaysia I also had a meeting with the representatives of a fintech company which we will cooperate with in the development of Universa Exchange. All in all, I didn’t waste time while in Penang 😉

If you are in Phuket today, you can find Arthur or me wearing Universa t-shirth at the THAI Blockchain conference. https://coinsbank.com/thai/

Now let’s turn to the news on Universa blockchain product development -

Universa Blockchain MainNet Development

We have finished architecture design and prepared interfaces for working with accounts in different currencies: BTC, ETH, Universa contracts, ERC20 contracts. The point of architecture is an open set of accounts, able to work consistently with any tokens and currencies. A module processes cases of the errors in incoming payments, i.e. receiving not the the entire sum, receiving too much and mechanisms of solving this kind of problems.

We have finished accepting KYC results, verifying and linking them to money orders to send tokens.

A new procedure of the partially simultaneous payment verifying and transaction processing has been optimized according to the results shown by Testnet, it is being developed now…

Design of the new application is ended: dividing into components, communication architecture, UX-BP component for UX freezing removal and creating a high quality animated interface, isolation from the external influence, choosing convenient mechanisms (kotlin/scala), a code automatic test in browser/ DOM imitation subsystem setup.

Turning to the search and interviews with developers, we have seen about 10 people by now but couldn’t find anyone who has good knowledge of SCALA and satisfies our CTO. Do you know developers with this knowledge? Send them to us — we have cookies!
