Finding the right location when looking for colleges can be challenging, but fortunately, the United States has so many diverse regions and states that you will find a place that works perfectly for you. I must say though, there is something very special about Los Angeles, and studying and going to college in California will change your life forever. We have……
The Beaches
How many people can say that they studied for their finals while tanning on the beach? In Southern California it’s basically second nature for students. The weather usually stays around 75 degrees year round so tanning on the beach in February is pretty normal activity. No freezing blizzards here! Your Midwest friends will be very jealous of your beach snaps.
It’s not hard to stay healthy!
Los Angeles is the place to be if good health is one of your top priorities! With smoothie stops and new vegan restaurants at every corner, maintaining a healthy diet is easy in LA! Also with so many beautiful hiking trails, bike trails along the beach, and camping spots, outdoor activities are done by the majority of people. Outdoor yoga sessions in the summer happen every weekend on the Santa Monica pier and there’s always new work out trends that Angelinos jump to.
The Mexican Food is Amazing
The Mexican food is fantastic. Los Angeles food and taco trucks are on every corner, and once you’ve tried Los Angeles Mexican food, you will never be able to eat it anywhere else again. We also have amazing Sushi, Thai, Mediterranean and Indian food here as well!
Disneyland
Bring out your inner child and check out Disneyland and its neighboring park California Adventure. There you can walk down Mainstreet USA, meet Mickey and have a great time! There also are other parks like Universal Studios. Harry Potter world opened up April of 2016 and it is nothing less than magical.
The Arts
Los Angeles is home to the artists of the world, and you can feel that energy everywhere you go. In Downtown LA the streets are filled with art and it’s home to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the MOCA (Muesum of Contemporary Art) and Santee alley where all your shopping dreams will come true. There is also Venice beach that has awesome street art and performances daily.
