“Mank” tops the list with 10 Oscar Nominations, Lily Collins reflects on her JOURNEY in the movie!

”Mank,” being a well knitted biographical movie adaptation of the life of one of the most gigantic filmmakers that the world has known till the day, Orson Welles has bagged 10 Oscar nominations for this year! The news concerning the Oscar Nominations 2021 was announced a couple of hours ago by the ever charming celebrity couple Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and the announcement that the movie ”Mank” conquering atop the list has literally made the movie buffs baffled, though it was a much expected win. It is in this context, Lily Collins, one of the leading actresses in the movie, came up detailing her journey with ”Mank.”

Known for her titular role in the Netflix entertainment series ‘Emily In Paris, she has been creating ripples among her fans with a recent Snapshot which revealed hints about ‘Emily in Paris Season 2.’ Now with the movie ”Mank” bagging not just one but 10 Oscar nominations, the actress has penned a tribute to the entire team, narrating a small snippet about her journey all through the epic movie.

Of late, Lily Collins took to her Instagram page to express how she felt about seeing ”Mank” atop the list of Oscar nominations 2021.

She is enthralled to witness the movie ”Mank” getting nominated for 10 Oscar awards. She openly admitted that she was extremely happy for the incredibly talented team, cast and crew who worked so hard on bringing the story into fruition. She also said that she was extremely honored to be a part of this signature creation by David Fincher, openly admitting that it was an experience that she will never forget and will cherish forever.

Mank is a 2020 American biographical drama film about screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz and his development of the screenplay for Citizen Kane (1941). Directed by David Fincher, based on a screenplay by his late father Jack Fincher, the film was produced by Ceán Chaffin, Douglas Urbanski, and Eric Roth. It stars Gary Oldman in the title role, alongside Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins, Arliss Howard, Tom Pelphrey, Sam Troughton, Ferdinand Kingsley, Tuppence Middleton, Tom Burke, Joseph Cross, Jamie McShane, Toby Leonard Moore, Monika Gossmann, and Charles Dance.

Though it had a limited theatrical release on November 13, 2020, and began streaming on Netflix on December 4, the film received positive reviews from critics, who praised its direction, acting (particularly Oldman and Seyfried), cinematography, and production values. Now the film has also earned a leading-ten nominations at the 93rd Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Oldman and Best Supporting Actress for Seyfried, and also received a leading-six nominations at the 78th Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture — Drama.
