Universal Protocol Community Update — June 16

Greetings UP Community,

Over the past month we’ve been adding new partners and building relationships with existing members of the Universal Protocol Alliance to execute on our mission.

We’ve taken time to assess the strengths of our project and map out a plan, not only for building the products that can support the next 100M users of crypto, a powerful ecosystem around Universal Protocol and the growing alliance of companies.

UPT: The Universal Token of the Realm

We have been quietly structuring a new ecosystem around UPT that integrates across the partners of the UP Alliance. The existing functionality of UPT described in the whitepaper remains the same. One added area we have been working on involves UPT integrations with the UP Alliance and beyond — supporting an ecosystem of utility. Please stay tuned as we plan to announce more details about this shortly.

Token Unlock + Listing

Because of what we describe above and the expanded functionality of UPT we’re not ready to list and unlock UPT tokens. There are a number of details that are still being sorted out and we ask the community for patience as everything is ironed out.

Obviously we would love to unlock the token alongside a major exchange listing, but we aren’t there yet. Anyone who has been around in crypto for some time understands the importance of this being done properly and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience.

Improving Communication + Marketing

Moving forward, we will be actively improving our marketing and communications, starting with:

• Monthly project updates on the first Monday of each month.
• An upcoming AMA with the founders of Universal Protocol.
• Increased media outreach and PR.
• Active community growth and engagement programs.

We will also plan to announce details about the ICO very soon.

We appreciate everyone’s patience. We’re building big things and there are a lot of parties involved and moving parts, but we’re still making good progress. We’ll update everyone shortly.
