The thirteenth monthly update report from the Universal Protocol Alliance

To our global community — congratulations, you made it to the halfway point in 2020! While this year has seen more than its fair share of ups and downs, we couldn’t be more excited for the road ahead. Not only do we have a number of exciting product developments on the horizon, but we are also continuing to build the ranks of the Universal Protocol Alliance, and further solidify the value of our ecosystem and its products.

June saw a particularly eventful month for Universal Protocol and its Alliance Members. Our biggest update as many of you know is that the world-famous, high-profile wallet maker Ledger has joined our ranks, and committed to helping us build an ecosystem that will herald the next 100 Million users to blockchain. As part of the Universal Protocol Alliance, Ledger has committed to integrating its security and infrastructure solutions with UP technologies, helping to contribute to UPT as a mega utility token.

This past month also saw the launch of Uphold’s US Equities, which allows users on the platform to buy fractional shares of major US companies like Tesla, Netflix, Amazon, Mastercard, Alphabet, Disney, and others. This will provide an easy way for Uphold users anywhere in the world the most convenient and cost-effective way to trade these equities. Users can also buy into major ETFs, allowing them to diversify their assets during 2020’s volatility.

Our mission continues even through the pandemic and the global upheaval we are witnessing — to quickly transform the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector, and usher in the next 100M users of this technology.
