To our global community — thank you for the continued support of Universal Protocol and our mission. This past month has been challenging for everyone around the world as we try to defeat COVID-19 collectively.
The Universal Protocol Alliance hasn’t taken a moment off during this crisis, as alliance members have continued to create transformative technology, and establish the needed partnerships to push blockchain adoption globally.
In the upcoming month of June, Universal Protocol will have several major announcements, including a new stablecoin that will join the ranks of Universal Dollar, Universal Euro, and Universal Bitcoin.
Our mission continues even through the pandemic and the global upheaval we are witnessing — to quickly transform the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector, and usher in the next 100M users of this technology.
What’s New With Universal Protocol
During the month of May, the members of the Universal Protocol Alliance have had several new updates and announcements that will prove critical to the next round of product launches and partnerships.
Cred is leading the way in a new sector of crypto — tokenizing entertainers. Through their partnership with NBA player Spencer Dinwiddie, has tokenized his basketball contract using cryptocurrency, which will open up this sector to the world of crypto and blockchain. Cred also hosted its 5th AMA with its community, highlighting key growth in CredEarn participation and volume.
Uphold announced a partnership with Web Monetization provider Coil utilizing the Interledger Protocol. Coil creators around the world can now select Uphold as their wallet provider, to have payments sent directly to their Uphold account gaining access to 50+ currencies including fiat, digital, and commodities along with bank connectivity in 34+ countries.
