The sixth monthly update report from the Universal Protocol Alliance
Over the past month the Universal Protocol Alliance has been busy developing additional use cases for UPT to further progress on the path of UPT as the utility ‘token of the realm.’ Soon, we’ll be producing a series of announcements about how each UP Alliance member will be incorporating UPT into their respective ecosystems.
On the community front, last week, two of the founders of the Universal Protocol Alliance, Dan Schatt from Cred and JP Thieriot from Uphold held an AMA with our global community. We are working on synthesizing the results of this AMA and will publish the piece this week on our Medium.
Universal Protocol will also soon be launching a transparency page which will list the current circulation of UPUSD, UPBTC, and UPEUR. This transparency page will always be current when viewing the page, and will list the volume of UP tokens and stablecoins that are currently held in the Uphold reserve. In addition, we are actively considering UP Alliance memberships of companies that are leaders in their space. We also look forward to providing details in the immediate future about the next UP stablecoin we intend to launch for use.

Uphold — Uphold announces the launch of a beta version of a cryptocurrency debit card. Uphold in talks with Ledger to shift some of their assets to the Ledger Vault. Brave browser announces partnership with Uphold to use their wallet to allow Brave users to sell BAT tokens.
Cred — Ally Medina, the Mayor of Emeryville California, has been appointed the Director of Government Relations and Business at Cred. Cred (LBA) reaches 1-Day volume of $748,946.00. Bitbuy and Cred open a Canadian Bitcoin lending platform that allows Candians up to 10 percent interest on their bitcoin holdings. Cred announces a partnership with TrustToken to offer interest on 5 international currencies.
Bittrex Global — Bitcoin.com Exchange extends support for Bittrex Global-backed UPT. BLOCKTV announces listing of their utility token on Bittrex Global exchange. Bittrex announces it will release frozen crypto to former users in sanctioned regimes.
CertiK — CertiK Foundation announces that it will introduce the open beta of its CertiK Chain in the coming week.
