Greetings to our global community! As we enter the final stretch of 2019, it brings us great joy to announce new developments for the Universal Protocol alliance.

We are grateful to our UP community for their patience during the summer after we held our ICO earlier this year. We have been busy securing an exchange partner for the next phase of our project, which we have successfully accomplished during this last month. Stay tuned for the announcement over the coming week.

Last week, Universal Protocol attended SF Blockchain Week 2019, and engaged with the best and brightest from the global blockchain industry. During the week, UP Alliance member Cred showcased a new merchant cash advance solution which will change the game for many small businesses worldwide. Members of the Universal Protocol alliance, along with elected representatives from the Bay Area, gathered with Cred in Emeryville, California at Ohana Dispensary to demonstrate a solution for vendors facing challenges with cash-run businesses and tax remittance. Cred CEO Dan Schatt officially unveiled Cred Merchant Solutions, a new point-of-sale handheld terminal that supports the unbanked, underbanked and poorly banked around the world. The Android-based terminal will be deployed to businesses at cost, which will automatically deduct and manage the appropriate government sales tax, while allowing them to dramatically lower transaction fees and reinvest money back into their business. This development paves the way for new uses of UP alliance technology to reach new audiences.

The UP alliance has also expanded its rank during October with the addition of OmiseGO, a world-class crypto organization, and welcome them into the alliance. They join our existing alliance members, including Bittrex Global, Cred, Uphold, Brave, Blockchain at Berkeley, and CertiK. In addition to a new UP alliance member, we are excited to welcome Aya Miyaguchi, the Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation. Aya joins other major tech icons and pioneers in assisting with the continued expansion of Universal Protocol.

We look forward to providing details in the immediate future about the start of trading of UPT. For further updates, please stay tuned to our Telegram and Twitter accounts.
