Brewing Coffee — Poem

Credit: skillshare

As I brewed my coffee,

A change of character and of heart occurred in between.

Now, I’m no longer ten, but twenty.

What I knew then is not what I know now,

Though I always ask how?

In moments of watching and brewing,

Why have we never stopped to wonder what exactly we are doing?

I think we need a purpose bigger than ourselves worth pursuing.

Like scoring the winning goal in a game of hockey.

But, here I am at my counter brewing coffee.
