Explore LNK: Coffee Shops

A person drinks coffee at the East Campus Starbucks

As we head into the fall and winter months, a warm cup of coffee is the best hand warmer as you make your way across campus (we see you iced coffee people). If you find yourself with more time to hang out and study or catch up with friends, check out one of these Lincoln coffee shops recommended by a Husker.

The Mill

In 1975, The Mill got its start in a local bike shop due to the lack of gourmet quality coffee in Lincoln. Today, there are 4 locations across the city serving gourmet coffee, espresso drinks and tea and bites to eat. The Mill is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon with a cup of coffee and a good book.

Coffee House

Home of the beloved Cromelette (trust us, you need to try one if you never have before), Coffee House has been serving downtown Lincoln since 1987. Stop by for a variety of specialty drinks, brewed coffee and tea. There is plenty of room to meet up with friends or study at this cozy coffee shop.

Reactor

Located near the Bay, Reactor is a short distance from campus but worth the trip. In addition to their delicious drinks and food, this spot has great vibes and cute decor that will put you in a good mood whether you’re meeting with a friend or a study group.

Cultiva

Feeling more in the mood to grab a coffee and a hot meal? Head to one of the Cultiva locations in Lincoln for specialty crepes and caffeinated beverages. Favorites include the Barcelona (trust us, you need to try it at least once) and the Cubana. Be sure to check out Cultiva Labs too for an espresso bar and bean-to-bar chocolate.

Bagels and Joe at the Foundry

Who doesn’t love a bagel and a cup of coffee?! With 4 Lincoln locations, you are never far from a delicious morning drink. Through their partnership with The Foundry, they donate 10% of all sales to directly support the Foundry, Non-Profit Hub’s vision to help make Lincoln a better place. Stop in today for a handmade meal and cup of Joe!

Crescent Moon

Crescent Moon Coffee has been at home in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket district since 2001. They serve a variety of roasted coffees, teas and espresso specialty drinks, and offer made-to-order crepes, panini sandwiches, and pastries. Be sure to check them out on social media for information about live music and events.

Dunkin’

Hot (or cold) coffee + a sprinkle donut is the best way to start the day (or evening, we won’t judge!) Stop in the Adele Learning Commons for a quiet study spot with the best campus views. If you find yourself off-campus, there are plenty of Lincoln locations to fuel your day.

Starbucks

With two on-campus locations, Starbucks is a tried-and-true option for your fall PSL or peppermint mocha. Grab your favorite drink and stay awhile in the Nebraska Union or Nebraska East Union.
