Popsicles for breakfast, building forts with friends, not having a care in the world outside of having fun. Oh, to live like a kid. Luckily, Lincoln is a playground for all ages. Come along and find new ways to live like a kid again!

Laser Tag

Grab your friends and enjoy Lincoln’s state-of-the-art laser tag arena at Sun Valley Lanes and Games. Cyberblast laser games are ideal for the competitor, the thrill seeker, and even the kid at heart! Unlimited laser tag AND Lucky Putt Monday-Thursday for $12.95. What more could you ask for? This interactive experience is sure to transport you back to your younger years.

Bowling

Whether you are 9 or 90, bowling is a fun-filled activity for everyone. The Husker Bowling Center is conveniently located on the first floor of the East Campus Rec Center. Plus, bowling is FREE for UNL students. It’s a win, win. Mark your calendars — the facility opens back up on August 19!

Trampoline Park

Nothing says living like a kid quite like jumping like a kid! Urban Air Adventure Park has Apex Trampoline wonderlands as well as Sky Riders, Climbing Walls, and even Battle Beams! Now that sounds fun. Spend the day with friends (maybe us too) jumping from adventure to adventure.

Paintball

Built for adrenaline seekers, CJ’s Paintball Park is an outdoor adventure open year-round. Yes, that means you can also play in January. We know exactly what you’re thinking- paintballing can be dangerous, which is why CJ Paintball Park introduced “Low Impact Paintball” designed for a lighter, minimally stinging, yet maximally fun game. Perfect for birthday parties, family gatherings and even team building. But watch out, you never know where your enemy lies…

Lincoln Children’s Zoo

Despite the name, the Lincoln Children’s Zoo is a great way to switch up your routine at any age. More than 400 animals call Lincoln home at the zoo. The opportunities are endless. From feeding giraffes to timing a cheetah’s sprint, there’s a little bit of everything. The zoo is open seven days a week with extended hours on Wednesday for “Wild Wednesday”. Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to hang out with animals all day?

Outdoor Adventure Center

Calling all outdoors lovers! Right on campus, the Outdoor Adventure Center has bike, camping, and water equipment rentals just for you. Or maybe you’re looking for an indoor adventure. Good thing the Adventure Center also has a rock-climbing wall and beginner-level classes to introduce you to the community and sport. Trust me, it’s a kid’s (and adult’s) dream.

Sometimes, you just need to live like a kid. Whether you are escaping reality or looking to rediscover childhood fun, Lincoln is the place to be. Here’s to the kid within in all of us!
