Explore LNK: Places to Visit over Family Weekend
Weekends in Lincoln are better when spent with family. This year, our students will welcome families to campus in early October to make unforgettable memories, meet other Husker families and learn more about Nebraska and their students’ experiences! Mark your calendars, families are coming to town October 6–8!
Watch: Husker Football Game
On Friday, October 6, the Husker football team will be in Champaign, Illinois — but the greatest fans in college football will be packing Memorial Stadium! The game will be televised on the big screens at 7pm, but gates open at 6pm! Sit right on the field, enjoy a FREE stadium hotdog, snap some pics at the photo booth and cheer on your Huskers from afar. Nebraska fans are one of a kind! Learn more about the event here.
Eat: Lunch and Dinner Spots
Nothing says family time quite like a family dinner! Lincoln has an abundance of tasty family lunch and dinner spots. Some frequent student recommendations are HF Crave, Leadbelly, and El Potrero. Top off the night with a sweet treat from Ivanna Cone or Goodly Cookies.
See: Haymarket Farmer’s Market
