We are launching today Uniwhale Referral Program with opportunities for our community to earn discounts and rebates by referring new users to Uniwhale.
In this article, we would like to share with you how the referral program works. First, you need to generate your own Referral Code to give to your friends!
Generate Your Referral Code
To create a referral code, follow these steps:
- Visit https://app.uniwhale.co/referral
- Click on the “My Code” tab
- Generate a referral code using only small letters and numbers (no capital letters and symbols).
Please note you can generate one referral code and cannot change once it is created — so think carefully before you decide on your referral code!
Share Your Referral Code
Once you have your own referral code, you can share it with your friends. When your friends sign up with your referral code (also at https://app.uniwhale.co/referral, on “Traders” tab), their wallet will be linked to the referral code (and recorded on-chain), and, each time your friends trade, they will receive a trading fee discount and you will earn referral rebates, all real-time on-chain.
So long as your friends use the same wallet that is linked to your referral code, you will continue earning referral rebates (even when your friends use multiple devices to execute trades). The trading fee discounts and referral rebates are handled automatically by smart contracts, and you can view your rebate history at https://app.uniwhale.co/referral.
More You Share, More You Earn!
Our referral program has a tier system offering a different level of trading fee discounts and referral rebates, depending on the number of active traders you refer to and the trading volume they generate. They are:
- Tier 1: 5% trading fee discount for traders, 5% referral rebates to referrer
- Tier 2: 10% discount for traders, 10% rebates to referrer
- Tier 3: 20% discount for traders, 20% rebates to referrer
You start from Tier 1. To upgrade to Tier 2 or Tier 3, you must meet the following criteria —
Tier 2:
At least 15 active users using your referral code per week and a combined weekly trading volume above $5 million
Tier 3:
At least 30 active users using your referral code per week and a combined weekly trading volume above $15 million
If you meet these criteria, please open a ticket with your wallet address and referral code in our Discord channel, so we can help upgrade you!
Please Note: During active staking of your UGP, you will be automatically charged at a discounted rate and your referrer will not receive any rebates based on your trading volume.
Closing and a few notes on Trading Fee Discounts and Referral Rebates
Trading fee discounts and referral rebates apply to opening and closing fees on Uniwhale. The opening and closing fees, at the time of writing, are 0.1% on Uniwhale, and the referral rebates are calculated before any trading fee discounts are taken into account. So referrers earn on the full trading fee and from what would otherwise be paid on other exchanges.
