Ice Cream of Scotland

Scotland was not short on ice cream and gelato places. They lined streets in between shops and restaurants and even in trucks. An ice cream cone is one of my favorite treats and I treated myself with them in Scotland.

The Snack Shack sat in the town of Luss. Luss is located along the water and gives a very country feel. I found the colors and atmosphere of this ice cream shop to be intriguing. The little girls enjoying their ice cream added to the feeling of the whole shop.
Artisan was a modern looking gelato shop that sat on a busy tourist street in Edinburgh. The shop’s name and colorful outside drew in many of my teammates to try some of their gelatos. Many people stopped and looked in the storefront and admired the gelato.
This little shop was also located in a little village in Luss. Many tourists were found inside enjoying an ice cream cone or a coffee. The large signs and blue windows made the shop feel welcoming. It was one of the first our team passed and many of us went inside.
The gelato pictured here was taken on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. The creaminess of this gelato made us come back twice. There were many flavors to choose from and you couldn’t have just one scoop.
