It’s Not Your Fault

Today I watched Will Hunting again, after some years. With different eyes now, I see the movie from another perspective. It was a scene (end of the article) that fueled my need to write this down, to let it all out. As I’m growing, I’m becoming more and more of what I crave to be. A human.

You

You got abandoned in your life. Maybe it was your parents or some friends. Maybe it was your love that picked you up and threw you down. Your lack of empathy is reflecting in everyone that tries to give you some emotions back.

It’s not your fault.

You are a workaholic. Society gave you the impression that you need to work all day long to achieve a peaceful life when you are 60. Until then, 59 years of your life will be thrown away at a career you might not even want to have. You are about to give up, you need a break, but you are afraid of losing your momentum.

It’s not your fault.

You judged a person the other day. You looked at them like you knew them. Like you know their past, their current state. You judged them more than you would judge yourself. Your own damn self, that no one knows better, but yet you chose to judge them!
