Do Not Be Good, Be Great

The Simple Truth About Excellence

The difference between good and great is not a lot. Contrary to what many believe, the little changes done where nobody else cares about going the extra mile end up standing out.

One’s perception of greatness can be the per cent difference that makes greatness an actuality, whether at work, in our personal lives or where ever you choose to be great.

The moment of distinction makes a world of a difference. In any race, our attention is captured by the person who come first.

Take note, winning feels good. It is the things we feel, that we remember.

The greatest leaders have extreme attention to detail, take the late Steve Jobs and his approach to running Apple. The simple designs and beautiful, artistic typography were almost an obsession for him.

The small differences that play with our subconsciousness, the things that catch our attention in our lives we must consciously make an effort to maximise the result.

Why? Because there is something called leverage. Leverage is the little things that make the big things matter. You can put your cash in an investment account and get a certain agreed interest on that money overtime.

The more money you have in that account the greater your chances are of getting a compound effect. You can put your money where your mouth is and tell yourself to be great and eventually you will become great. That is leverage!

Do not ignore making the small, gradual changes to the things that elevate and magnify your strengths.

It’s always the simple things you follow:

1. Look for the small things you can focus on to change the results you get in life.

2. Identify the attributes that make your strengths stronger and then improve them.

When you improve a small bit at a time on a daily, weekly, monthly period your results will look effortless.

3. Monitor your improvement in those areas.

4. Commit to being better than good and fall into the habit of being great.

Go ahead and unmask your potential , I dare you.
