From the Vault

In the wake of The New York Times’ feature on Raheem Sterling, his initiatives to fight off the narrative of black superstar athletes, and the media’s constant mischaracterization of Sterling as a villain, it’s a perfect time to take a look back at an article written by Resident Brit Jamie Sewell this past summer. The article may have been published nearly 9 months ago, but it’s pretty clear that not much has changed since.

What’s Next

  • Also, check out Amelia Graber-Lipperman’s piece on the recently-released Captain Marvel. It’ll touch on the Marvel superfan’s thoughts on what the film means for the MCU, female representation in movies, and more.
  • Finally, NGL had Spikeball Founder and CEO Chris Ruder on ‘The G-L Review’ this week! They talked about appearing on Shark Tank, the popular trend of shared spaces, the future of the sport of roundnet, and more. Look for that to drop Friday morning!
