The Future of work is Technology
We all are depending on technology the most then never before from last 6 months. Times have made us realize how technology had made it easy to manage global crisis. Where everyone was imagining the world of absolute technology, we have lived one in 2020. From education, work, groceries, food, commute, health care, to social interactions- humans are all dependent on technology for it. It is high time where businesses should grab this opportunity to evolve strategic business imperatives, trends, and disrupters using technology. From this standpoint, it becomes clear that technology is going to play major role in future business and to new norms. From the current global standpoint, this vlog enlightens that the future of work, workplace and workforce is technology. Businesses needs to strategize, design and collaborate technically to become successful.
· Work
Organization should focus on how to leverage technology to redesign current work outcomes and strategize on major increase in productivity and cost efficiencies. Business should find a way to redefine new work outcomes that extend beyond productivity and cost to value. The collaboration of technology and work should have meaning and impact on workforce, workplace and work. and meaningful work experience.
· Workforce
Workforce are the people who work for a workplace. A company prioritizing workers safety and health is also prioritized by its consumers. Organization should focus on How will future technical workforce look. They should employ candidates with technical knowledge in addition to their required qualifications. Not everyone will have great hands on technology, training sessions should be introduced on future software. Including Work from home should be another agenda on list. As kids remain at home until further notice, it will be great for companies to give their employees an opportunity where they can work at home and keep their families safe.
· Workplace
Organization should focus on how current workplace support the evolving work of technology. What workforce will be required to include technology in their organization? What things should be reevaluate to sustain the evolution of technology work? Workplaces are changing and evolving from location-centric to the kitchen of the employee. Workplaces should now be relationship- oriented and the norms of working should be redesigned to maximize productivity and outcomes. “Collaborations of digital reality tools with employee can aid connections among employee and employee-technology” (Briggs, Kark, Terzioglu, 2019).
