A simple and insightful way to digest key developments in the media and tech world

Unraveled is a simple and insightful way to digest key developments in the media and tech world. Today’s content overload often makes it difficult to stay informed. On top of that, many articles are so contextually-bloated that it can be intimidating to even begin to educate yourself. Unraveled will attempt to demystify the news and apply a critical lens.

I’ll be taking timely and topical stories, simplifying them into a few bullet points, and providing some brief analysis around their consumer and business implications.

Importantly, the insights and analyses here will be data-driven. As often as possible, I’ll provide sources for my market research that I’m using to reach my conclusions.

Unraveled will be primarily targeted toward young, working professionals that have found traditional news to be a burden, and are searching for a more effective and engaging way to stay informed.

Of course, I would love for anyone and everyone to take part in this!

I’m not claiming to be an expert in any particular field. However, I feel that my somewhat eclectic experiences have given me a unique lens for an initiative like this. Here’s a breakdown:

CBC — Strategic Advisory: Led strategic projects, developed product strategy and provided thought leadership to senior executives

Deloitte Digital — Consulting: Drove digital strategy and technical delivery engagements for Fortune 500 clients in financial services, healthcare, CPG and public sector

Fedex — Corporate Development: Conducted financial modelling to acquire and uplift major customer accounts

Ivey Business School — HBA Alumnus: Top business school in Canada

Pro Bono — Leadership Roles: Launched multiple non-profit organizations and have served advisory roles on others

Tumako — Musician: Wrote, recorded, produced and performed a variety of original compositions and have developed empathy for the creative professional

Others: A bit of a film / music snob, graphic designer, amateur weightlifter / chef / gamer / meditator

Ultimately, this is an experimental project for me. I’m hoping that this will not only allow me to share crucial information with my network, but, in posting, I’m hoping to better internalize this information myself. You don’t have to agree with everything that I post. In fact, I encourage you to reply / comment / share and foster a healthy debate.
