Let’s drink to that🍾! We’re now making it easier to discover great wines🍷 all across London.
About a week ago, we decided that it’s time to finally launch UnscrewMe. We had been busy making a couple of usability and design improvements until we were satisfied with the first, basic version. So please, head over to www.unscrewme.co.uk and find a tasting you fancy! 🎉
Although we already had a good number of wine tastings listed, we’ve added plenty more over the past week, so now you can choose from 37 wine tastings in September, more than one per day on average. And if you want to plan further ahead, there are also 19 wine tastings listed for October – and there are still many more tastings to be added until October!
UnscrewMe, now!
Right now, UnscrewMe is just a list of wine tastings. A rather good list with a wide variety of events all across London. Still, a simple list.
But beyond this basic display of wine events, there are two distinct features to help you finding the next tasting that suites your taste and schedule.
First, there is the calendar view🗓. Depending on the size of your screen, it either offers a handy week-by-week overview or presents you all events for a full month.
Second, there is also a comprehensive search🔎 that allows you to type what you’re interested in and get instant results in chronological order.
This is only the beginning, but from my experience of looking for interesting wine tastings myself, with these features, UnscrewMe already offers the quickest and easiest way to discover wine events and find more wines worth drinking.

UnscrewMe is all about making it easier to find wine events. To do this, knowing about wine tastings is essential.
However, presenting a large number of events is only one part of the solution. The other part is to make these events more accessible. We already have many ideas about how to make it even easier to keep up with all the London wine events – and to drink more wines!
One set of features we are planning to add soon are more sophisticated filter and search options. To make it less likely that you forget about the tastings you wanted to go to, we will also add reminders, so you get notified about what you were interested in, before it is too late.
Getting UnscrewMe online 🚀 is our first step to make finding wine tastings in London easier. Now, we hope you enjoy this new web app as much as we do! 🍾
Spend less time searching ⏳, and more time tasting 🍷!
(As almost always, great coffee at Kaffeine helped me putting this little announcement together. But I also used this opportunity to spend has an evening at the newly opened wine bar and shop Lady of the Grapes in Covent Garden with some great wines. I started with a beautiful Cava, the Anne Marie Brut Nature by Castell d’Age from Catalunya in Spain🇪🇸 . A great traditional method sparkling wine with just the right amount of fruit to celebrate the launch of UnscrewMe. Second I enjoyed a Grüner Veltliner “Kellerweingarten” by Weinberggeiss Barbara Öhlzelt from Kamptal DAC in Austria🇦🇹, a well-balanced and very smooth wine. Finally, I also tasted the Valpolicella Classico DOC BIO by La Dama Vini from Valpolicella in the Veneto region in the north of Italy🇮🇹 , made mainly from Corvina grapes, refreshingly fruity and fun.)
