It’s National Customer Service Week and we’re honoring several of our incredible Customer Care specialists.
The Blink Health Customer Care team is a group of compassionate and knowledgeable specialists who work 365 days a year to support patients in accessing the medications they need. As part of Customer Service Week, we’re introducing you to members of our team.
First up, we chatted to Taina about her experience helping patients at Blink and beyond.
How long have you been working in a customer service capacity (at Blink or elsewhere)?
I have been working as a customer service specialist at Blink for about a year and a half. Prior to working at Blink, I was working in a healthcare environment providing patient services for about a year as well.
How many customers would you estimate you’ve served?
Between answering calls, emails and online live chats every day I honestly have lost count of how many customers I have served. A good estimate would be far into the thousands.
What’s the best thing about working with customers?
I love hearing customers’ happy stories about how Blink and our customer service has impacted them in such a positive way.

What’s the toughest part of the job?
Sometimes customer service is limited in what we can do in order to help a customer. In those cases we may need to direct the customer to other resources for further insight.
What have you learned about the healthcare system from working with customers at Blink?
Working at Blink has taught me that even in the healthcare system there is always an alternative way, or at least resources where someone can find a solution to their problem.

What advice would you give to someone who is just getting started?
For anyone just getting started, it’s always good to remember that not only the good stories are the ones that motivate customer service specialists, the constructive or negative feedback is also a key way to help us improve and provide the best service.
