09 March, 2020:

In light of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 outbreak and of our commitment to safety and well-being of SDG partners globally and in Bonn, we have made the difficult decision — in consultation with the German Federal Government, local authorities in Bonn and other key stakeholders — to postpone the SDG Global Festival of Action. New dates will be announced as soon as possible

This has been a difficult decision to make, not only because the Festival is one of the most inspiring annual events raising the visibility and impact of SDG actions from across the globe, but also because the Festival is designed by and for the SDG Action community. The recognition of the tremendous effort, time and energy invested in the Festival by all our sessions hosts, speakers, participants and partners made the decision even harder.

The UN SDG Action Campaing is exploring new dates and will announce as soon as possible.

26 February, 2020: The UN SDG Action Campaign continues to monitor and assess the potential impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on its 2020 UN SDG Global Festival of Action. Thus far, the impact is minimal and the SDG Global Festival of Action to be held at the World Conference Centre in Bonn from 1 to 3 April 2020, will proceed as planned. We will be sharing health guidelines prepared together with the City of Bonn and the German Government and any useful updates as they become available. When planning your travel, please be mindful that the situation is subject to change, as always participants are advised to take out travel insurance.

For further information on travel advice, please refer to the World Health Organization’s guidance.
